Brushstrokes in Glass

Brushstrokes in Glass

The impasto painting technique, mastered by Vincent Van Gogh, applies paint in thick dabs to make every brushstroke visible. The Impasto glass artwall drew inspiration from this expressive art form and now brings artistic dimension to modern office interiors in 50 Hudson Yards Building.

Slumping Technique

Each handcrafted artwall element showcases the slumping technology of glassmaking, supported in Lasvit by the world's largest glass furnace dedicated to this technique. The process creates decorative glass features with visible texture and depth, transforming flat surfaces into three-dimensional glass installations.

Modular Art

At 50 Hudson Yards, Impasto function as both expressive design element and practical partition screen. This self-standing glass wall offers tactile contrast to the clean architectural lines by Foster + Partners and refined interiors by Ingrao Inc, proving that bespoke glass artwork enhances sophisticated office complexes.

I emphasize that each component is an original and hand-made piece with its own imperfections. I work under the rule that “Imperfection is beauty.“
