There are parts of Shanghai where the city still carries the trace of another time. The Former French Concession, a historic area in Shanghai once controlled by the French government, left behind tree-lined avenue and brick residences shaped by the meeting of European architecture and local life. This layered architectural memory became the starting point for Heritage Glaze. Placed in the lobby, the installation takes the familiar rhythm of brick and reimagines it through glass.

The wall glows with a warm, inviting light, as if the bricks had caught the softness of the afternoon sun. Made from artisan glass bricks, it lets the eye travel through while shadows drift across the lobby, changing gently throughout the day. Light passes through the bricks, gathers in its edges, and leaves behind a play of warmth, shadows, and movement.
