Imagine a hotel that takes you back to late nineteenth century New York, into the heart of the Gilded Age. In grand salons filled with silk and expectation, appearance carried meaning and dress defined status. At St. Regis Qingdao, this world is reinterpreted through glass, where social ritual is translated into atmosphere.

Brocade is inspired by richly woven fabrics plentifully used during Gilded Age. The installation unfolds like fabric caught mid movement, its hand-blown glass diamonds and cut crystal beads shimmer like embroidery under shifting light. Bronze bent rods trace a gentle rhythm, recalling dance, gesture, and the presence of dresses gliding through grand interiors.

Gleam is inspired by the wardrobe of Caroline Astor, the self appointed gatekeeper of New York elite society. Her gold embroidered gowns defined the visual language of the Gilded Age. The installation is formed from hand cast glass plates, each marked with hand painted gold lines that recall embroidery, catching light and creating a luminous, layered composition.
